What Kids Should Never Share With AI
Transcript
Here's a rule that's easy to remember. Assume anything you type into a chatbot could be read by a stranger someday.
That's not because the company is up to something. It's because once you hit send, you can't be sure who sees it later or how long it sticks around.
So what stays out? Your full name together with your school or your town. Your address and phone number. Passwords, and anything with an ID or card number on it. Photos of yourself. And when you're home alone.
Then there's the one kids don't think about: other people's stuff. A friend's problem, a sibling's secret. They never got a say.
Health goes on the list too, yours or a friend's. If something's really wrong, that belongs with a person you trust.
The part I like is how kids get there. In our course they don't just memorize a list. They read a real privacy policy and write their own, with a reason next to each thing. A rule you wrote yourself tends to stick.
